I saw this (in my opinion) stunning cake on a Face Book post and decided to share it. The caption asked you to describe the cake in one word, and it provoked many comments like.... Ostentatious, tacky, over the top, pointless, Gay (like how can a cake be gay?), stupid, wasteful, expensive, breathtaking, horrible and the list goes on. For me I saw the skill and dexterity that must go into each and every one.
These Castle cakes are made by Le Novelle based in Indonisia and are special custom made to order.

Those cakes are downright gorgeous! I agree with you, regardless of what people think you you absolutely cannot just deny the skill, time, and hard work that goes into one of those beauties. People's creativity never ceases to amaze me!

ReplyDeleteIndeed Kate and everything even down to the figurines are all hand crafted. Have to say would break my heart to have to cut into it, but it is a celebration cake and only lasts 3 days so I say, go eat and be merry.x
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was why? As one who actually makes cakes and does sugarcraft I am always in awe of talent. This transcends to another level and I think that was what actually challenged folks thinking. The skill and time involved is almost imaginable
