Jill Davis is the owner and creator of Jillery1, with her background in industrial design & packaging she became increasingly interested in jewellery and making handcrafted sterling silver pieces set with natural gemstones. Some of her pieces are handmade and are formed from sterling silver wire using traditional soldering techniques.  Other pieces she designs using a 3D CAD modelling program and then after they are cast and polished she sets them with her chosen gem stones.

This is now day three of being one handed and it has made me appreciate that two hands are indeed better than one. Typing one handed is sloooooooooow. I painted three ceilings in one day and got a bit of a crick in my neck, two days later my shoulder just seemed to collapse and I was in agony, quick trip to the doctor and have something which I can barely pronounce (Supraspinatus tendonitis) and am now trussed up like a turkey and loaded with pain killers, which I am glad to say are doing a great job. The sling is actually very comfortable despite the fact that it looks a bit like a straitjacket. Think I will have to jazz it up a bit with something, but not today!

Browsing through Etsy I came across this shop run by Agnieszka Malik  and her goose eggs which she decoupages are simply stunning, these are just a few examples of her work and if you would like to see more click here. These would make lovely easter gifts and are very reasonable priced.

La Mode Illustree French Hats 1886

6 French hats from 1886  journal La Mode Illustree and some how I don't think we shall see these particular styles return in the near future. Not my cup of tea but in the day would have been thee hats to be seen in. I think the ladies all look quite haughty except for the first picture she just looks confused.

Giveaway... Stunning Galvanised Georgian Style Garden Planter Value £185

I was delighted when Arthur Jack & Co contacted me to ask if I would host a giveaway for one of the their stunning Georgian Style Garden Planters. Of course I immediately said that I would be delighted. The planters are made from 1.2 mm galvanised steel and are decorated with balls on each corner & a Tudor Rose placed in the centre of the planter, which is also galvanised.  Standing on 6cm legs with holes in the bottom to aid drainage, the hand-finishing process gives an aged patina that can be variable and will alter over time and location. The planter that one lucky winner will receive will be the Traditional 40cmx40cmx40cm  with Tudor Rose.  In addition Arthur will offer a 5% dicount if you purchase 2 planters (use Krishenka in your email when ordering).
