The Delivery Room - Sylvia Brownrigg
I thought the story line and character development was good, and beautifully written, but for me very slow and I found it more than a bit monotonous in parts, with very little actual dialogue. I read three books in between reading this one but was determined to finish it.
The story takes place in London during the Balkan war and is about the Serbian therapist Mira and her relationships with both her own and her husband's family and her patients during the period in which not only is her native country at war but her husband Peter is struggling with illness, which in turn brings turmoil in her relationships with all around her.
Have you read it? would like to hear what you thought of it.
