Figurative Papier-Mâché Lamp Sculptures Illuminate a Room with Ethereal Elegance.

For nearly 10 years, Sophie Mouton-Perrat and Frédéric Guibrunet have combined soft lighting with delicate paper craft to create ethereal sculptures. Working under the name Papier à êtres, the duo uses the papier mâché technique to construct life-sized women clad in elegant, billowing gowns that double as lamps. The top portion of the unconventional, all-white lantern features the ladies’ upper bodies while their pleated skirts illuminate the space.
To produce these creations—which have been displayed in locales like the Paris Opera House—Mouton-Perrat and Guibrunet work in true collaboration. They are each responsible for half of the sculptures: Mouton-Perrat shapes the figures and concentrates on characters’ facial features, hair, dress, and graceful poses, while Guibrunet develops the base and lighting.

It may be Misty in the Tarn but even

7.30am, it is pleasantly warm, misty and damp this morning and  I love seeing leaves shining with the morning dew dripping. I know the sun will be shining later today but we are also due a storm later, so I had a stroll round the garden to see what's been happening overnight. I wasn't disappointed  either. xx

 My hosta is untouched this year, partly because I have raised it so high the snails don't stand a chance of getting to it.

 I was given a Lemon Tree as a New Years gift and little lemons are on there way, look forward to adding  a few slices to my Vodka & Tonic later in the year.

 Nature is amazing just look at the detail on this rose, wish you could smell it.

 I think this is a fairy washing line and they even left a peg, wonder if i disturbed them

No Sew Lavender Drawer Sachets

Yesterday I was on the Graphics Fairy site again!!!! and got totally sidetracked and fell upon these gorgeous little lavender sachets. You can get the free printable version HERE created by Jess.

All you have to do is print them out, cut round the edges and glue together, add you scent, tie them up and your done.

What's not to love about Totes

Last week I bought a few calico tote bags and decided to pop over to Graphic Fairies to snap some gorgeous transfers. I did try to use an ordinary iron for this but ended up scorching the fabric and made a real hash of it. Luckily for me a friend has a heat transfer gizmo and kindly let me borrow it for awhile (going to be hard giving this machine back as it is fantastic), easy to use and produces a fabulous finished print. Now to list them.......
