Lavender Giveaway Winner April

April the 15th was the finish date of my giveaway for a hand monogrammed lavender sachet.. 33 people entered and the winner was Karen.  I sent it off to her and  she has now received it and  sent me a picture of it in pride of place.  Thank you  for letting me see it in it's new home.

Customer Appreciation Works For Me

I was delighted when I made a sale of one of my vintage button hair combs to a girl who wanted it for her wedding. I was equally thrilled when I got such great feedback. The best bit for me though was this fabulous picture she sent me of her wedding day showing her wearing my comb. Beautiful girl, lovely comb even though I say so myself. I did get permission to post this picture from the buyer.

Sunshine is Working

Yesterday I was rewarded with a magnolia and today sees the dawning of a beautiful minature iris called ledger's variety. I was given this as a seed 6 years ago and I waited 3 years till it produced it's first set of flowers, worth the wait in my opinion.

Spring Has Truly Sprung

The first Magnolia is out in all it's glory today and what makes it so special to me!  well it was the last gift from my dad before he died  and I could not bear to leave it when we moved house not once but twice, but it suffered badly as it did not like moving one bit and paid me back with a few years of no flowers and very little growth, but with lots of TLC and feeding, today it burst open and gave  me some love back.
