This fortified market town of Bruniquel occupies an amazing position high above the Aveyron and Vère rivers. Ancient houses, a belfry and the ruins of the medieval fortifications are spread out over several levels. Dominating the village is the imposing fortress built by Queen Brunehaut (534-613), daughter to the Visigoth King Athanalgilde and wife of Austrasian King Sigebert, grandson to Clovis. Just thought I would mention this.
So as they were having a Vide Grenier today and it's only a 15 minute drive from my house, I thought why not. Here are a few things I saw and bought.
