I saw a picture of a beautiful rose on my Face Book timeline and I followed the link to see if I could find out the name of the rose as I just loved it (First picture below). I was expecting a gardening page with information on various plants and flowers. I never thought for a second that the flower I saw was not real!!! and made from sugar paste, yes sugar paste. I am just lost for words that Christine Craig (the artist) can produce such magnificent replicas of a huge variety of flowers. Christine also teaches and last year launched tutorials on YouTube. Coming soon her own webpage Lalavandesugarflorist. Wow, wow, and wow again.

Krispie Bars
Every Sunday when I was a wee tot my mama made a batch of these so we could take them to school for our mid morning snack. They are light, crispy & totally delicious, thankfully I don't have to go to school anymore so can eat them when I like. If you do make some let me know what you think.
Ingredients
3 Mars Bars
85g butter
1 tablespoon Syrup
Desiccated Coconut
125g Rice Krispies
150g Milk or Plain choclate
Place butter, syrup and chopped mars bars into a pot and heat slowly till they all melt, then add the rice krispies and mix well. Pour the mixture into a tray (I used a rectangular tray 28cm x 20cm lined with grease proof paper. Press down with back of spoon till flat and sprinkle a little of the coconut on top. Melt your chocolate in a bowl over a pot of hot but not boiling water and then spread over the top of your krispies, sprinkle more coconut on the top of the chocolate, then place in fridge until cool (about an hour is the most I can wait).
Remove from tin and cut into bite size pieces ready to pop in your mouth.
I took some over to my girlfriend yesterday and when she saw me she burst out laughing (hate it when that happens) she then got a napkin and very gently washed the chocolate of my face, Hope you enjoy them.
xx
Thank you Joyce for sharing your Krispie Bars

Crafty Men on Etsy
Without the help from the forums on Etsy it is very hard to find shops run by men who make handcrafted items. I requested male Etsy sellers to show me their makes, and although I had a slow response (I don't use Etsy forums often and find that posts can be buried in seconds) I did have a few guys who did see my post and I was not disappointed with the results..
Clicking the link below each picture will take you straight to the seller so you can see what other goodies they make. Although photography is not deemed handmade it is still a skillful talent in my opinion and so I decided to include one just because I can :)

A very clever idea and beautifully made
Love the idea off up cycling license plates
Love the rustic look
Who doesn't love a Dream Catcher
Beautifully captured for ever
I had a hard time choosing which picture to show you but this caught my eye, so dramatic.
